Single Ply Roofing...
Single ply roofing is a roofing system
consisting of one layer of material. Some of the benefits
of a single ply roofing system include longevity and
flexibility. The are lightweight and are excellent for
a re-roof. There are many types of single ply products,
most of them designated by the initials of their principal
chemical compound. TPO is a thermoplastic polyolefin
compound. the additional thickness offers additional
protection against rooftop traffic and migratory debris.
PVC, a flexible version of poly-vinyl-chloride with
it's advanced polymer compounds and UV technology provide
resistance to ozone, organic growth and abrasion. Another
rubber-like membrane is EPDM, ethylene-propylene-die
ne-monomer. Some EPDM benefits include membrane fatigue
resistance, hail resistance, high resistance to ozone,
weathering and abrasion, flexibility in low temperatures,
superior resistance to extreme heat and fire, thermal
shock durability. Most single ply roofs are cool roofs,
reflecting the sun's heat and conserving energy. All
single ply roofing systems provide excellent protection
for your building. With these choices of excellent roofing
systems, it is imperative that the selection is tailored
to the specific project. Ongoing maintenance on single
ply roofs is less than built up roofing systems. The
initial project cost is higher, but the labor on the
project price is lower resulting in more value remaining
on the roof. We will be happy to consult with you and
make recommendations based on your specific needs.
